Gas Applications

Industrial gases have been used in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries ever since commercial production of oil has started. The applications and use of gases are expansive and vary with the operational requirements, Nitrogen gas is injected into oil wells in the coil tubing operation applications for improving the fluid recovery. Low explosion limit gas mixtures are used for checking the gas detectors in the refineries. At location where carbon dioxide is available in economic qualities, it is injected in the oil wells for increasing productivity, a process called Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).

Supply Options

Gulf cryo proposes over the fence arrangements for refineries and petrochemical complexes to supply gases such as Oxygen and Nitrogen. Air Separation Units are installed and operated with distribution network of gases supplies. Similarly requirements are catered by employing tube trailers, cylinder racks and high-pressure cylinders. Spot requirements for bulk products during turn around and peak shaving is fulfilled using ISO tanks and road tankers.

Oil & Gas

Nitrogen is the Allibiya leading product for the oil & gas sector. Nitrogen can be used for inerting of new, repaired, or modified tanks, pipelines, or vessels. As pressurised gas, it is perfect to transfer toxic fluids, flammable materials, and materials with a high probability of becoming corrosive when in contact with humidity. As cryogenic liquid, it can be used with cryogenic recovery equipment to remove and recover volatile organic contaminants from the process flow. Liquid nitrogen (or liquid carbon dioxide) can be applied to freeze a section of the content of a pipeline. This process allows works on the pipeline, such as valve repair. Oxygen can be used in oxidation and liquefaction processes, to produce syngas and in air enrichment in the combustion process in the refining industry. Hydrogen is applied to remove sulphur contaminants from petrol and diesel, to convert components of the crude oil into useful products, among other uses. Carbon doxide is used By freezing a section of the content of a pipeline, it will be possible to make some works on it, such as valve repair. The use of carbon dioxide in refineries is emerging, as it is a leading approach in enhanced oil recovery in mature oil fields
